Alay Sa Komunidad brings together, under one embracing and concerted program, all the CSR initiatives that Ayala Land has been doing in the past years for the communities in Barangay Canlubang. These include medical missions and livelihood programs, skills training, environment education and local government engagement. The objective of Alay Sa Komunidad is aligned with the company’s sustainability principles on community stewardship and social development. Its goal is to touch the lives of families in under-resourced communities through activities that raise their level of awareness for opportunities and resources that are available to them. This aims to empower them to take charge of their lives and their future.

Some 600 families at Pag-asa Neighborhood Association (PNA) and Pangarap Vesta Plains (PVP) in Barangay Canlubang have started to open their hearts and minds to these opportunities. They have tapped their innate culinary skills and have organized a cooperative that manages PNA Food Service, a food catering business that accepts food orders from nearby offices and from the community itself. They have tasked some members of the community to learn basket-weaving and Charcoal-making from skilled experts who have been able to positively transform their lives through this craft. They have come together to put up a community sari-sari store which now generates income for the community. They are now more aware of what can be achieved through one’s own enthusiasm and hard work.
