It was an occasion to recall many blessings, such as the blessings of a fruitful career, of invaluable friendships, and a legacy of work excellence.

Last December 9, ALI’s 2008 Service Awards and Retirement Program was held at the Hotel Intercontinental Manila, where the pillars of Ayala Land gathered to be recognized for their significant contributions to the company’s success. The annual ALI tradition is a much-awaited highlight in every ALIzen’s career.

Many of our colleagues were honored that day for their 5, 15, 20, and 25 years of dedicated service to Ayala Land. Garnering much of the applause were the 25-year awardees, Marivic Anonuevo and Rey Pascual.

The second half of the program was a tribute to our retiring colleagues, Tetta Baad (CHI), Vangie Decena (HR), Manny Torralba (AMG), Joseph Mendoza (OG), Nette Ursolino (Finance), Jovencio Miguel (ASF) and Pet Fabiosa (HR). As in previous years, the affair was peppered with tears of joy and sentimental moments as our colleagues remembered their remarkable journey in Ayala Land.

In his opening speech, our President Jim Ayala lauded the awardees and retirees for their loyal service to the company and for their contributions in making Ayala Land what it is today.

To personally congratulate the awardees and retirees were Ayala Land Chairman Fernando Zobel de Ayala and Ayala Corporation Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala. In his message, FZA, casually recalled his personal encounters with the retirees and wished them more success in life.

The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Pinky Ruiz, ALI-HR Head and was attended by respected leaders of the company such as Mrs. Edith Nolledo and ALI’s Mancom members.
